Bad night in Texas

Second Health Care Worker in Texas Tests Positive for Ebola

Officials still sounding like the pilot of a falling plane telling passengers, "There is no cause for alarm."

Why is decontamination needed?

How long is this virus dangerous outside the host, just laying around on doorknobs and sink fixtures?

For how many days before he was hospitalized was his apartment a source of contagion?

Who went there during that time?

And so on.

Meanwhile, a worse night in Sierra Leone.

Tear gas fired in Freetown after body left on street

Police in Freetown, Sierra Leone, have fired tear gas as people took to the streets to complain about the authorities' handling of the Ebola virus.

They were angry that the body of a woman who died from the disease was left on the street for two days.

Recriminations grow louder in Dallas, in Spain, and elsewhere.

Nobody was well prepared.
