This is why Dana Milbank, who in public wrote that he feels safer knowing he has Israel to escape to if things get hot for Jews in the US, has so forthrightly urged that Schumer be made minority leader.

Maybe not as devout a Likudnik as Lieberman, but still pretty bad.
Still, it will help to rein in the imperial tendencies lately visible in the White House.
So I suppose there's an up side.
