Bob Cesca on the Iran deal: Be afraid; be very afraid.

He exaggerates the likelihood of the worst outcome if we don't accept to stampede voters and politicians into accepting a not very good deal.

Not to say they shouldn't.

The risks of option two for the Western powers are certainly excessive, given their stake in the matter.

Pat Buchanan Totally Schools Sean Hannity on Historic Iranian Nukes Deal

Nice Bob Cesca is willing to cite him, but this is a bit much.

The two alternatives [to the deal] are unthinkable: waiting around for a better deal, or to not seek a deal at all, with airstrikes ready to launch.

The first of the two bad ideas would surely delay the process long enough for Iran to move forward with its nuclear weapons program and perhaps finally develop a bomb.

The second of the two would likely precipitate a World War level conflict, drawing in most Middle East players as well as NATO and Russia.

Remarkable [sic], there are still Republicans who support airstrikes, knowing or not believing what steps two-through-annihilation will be.

Oh, really?

It would likely precipitate a World War level conflict?

Pshaw.

But the risks are surely too great for the West to sensibly bear.

And go tell that to Hillary, for example, she the determined radical anti-warrior of Vietnam days, who has threatened to annihilate Iran if it attacks Israel.

And Joe Biden who publicly seconded her threat.

They both don't seem to mind, at all, letting Israel hide from Iran behind all our granddaughters' skirts.

I do.

But then they are big NATO expanders, all three of them.

People who stand straight with pride when they hear Madeleine Albright's description of America as "the indispensable nation."
