Discrimination and the emerging, post-Christian morality

A Republican governor - an old, straight, white, Christian male - says laws criminalizing pedophilia are not discriminatory because they forbid everyone, and not only those so inclined, to sexually abuse children.

Tech CEOs have reacted with outrage and various rights groups have initiated recall petitions.

A UN watchdog group has urged prosecution for hate speech and spiritual genocide at the ICC.

Various feminist groups quickly pointed out that children young enough to be sought for this purpose are not persons and have no human rights.

Being the property of their parents, there can be no valid moral or social objection to their use, even commercial use, as sexual toys, spokeswomen said.

Yes, I'm spoofing.

What would Dean Swift make of all this?
