For everything but his real sin of not being a Wall Street conservative out to sink Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, Obamacare, and every regulatory agency of the federal government while abolishing any control of our borders concerning trade or immigration, to which he alludes only by indirection.
In effect, he damns Trump for being closer to George Wallace than Barry Goldwater and William F. Buckley, though his only explicit comparisons with Henry Wallace and Strom Thurmond are ludicrous misdirection.
The reader may recall that Goldwater and Buckley differed from Governor Wallace by rejecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid but, like him, not only accepted but insisted on the constitutional validity and abiding value of American Apartheid.
That is the movement conservatism that Will reveres to this day, and whose hold on the Republican Party lends its only meaning to his life and work.
And Trump is very much loosening that hold.
