One, at least, came in with the wave of refugees

ISIS is not run by fools.

Perhaps they smuggled this guy in among the refugees as a provocation, aimed at sowing disarray and dissension among the French and other Euros as they try to work out their response.

O still wants to get rid of Assad.

And not every criticism of him and the typical Democrat response to radical Islam is quite entirely nuts.

Global warming denial may not be a real thing, but Jihader Islam denial certainly is.

Still, while it would be possible to defeat and destroy ISIS, I suppose, the idea that Muslim terrorism, radical Islam, or contemporary Jihad can be defeated and destroyed actually is entirely nuts.

Or it is a lie, not terribly different in nature and intent from the lies told about Saddam Hussein, the 9/11 attacks, and WMD to provide a fraudulent justification for the invasion and destruction of Iraq.

Nothing short of a war of extermination - a successful war of extermination - against the entire Muslim population of the planet could achieve such a goal militarily, and I take it that such an unimaginably horrific undertaking is definitely off the table.

And though we should not omit to seriously engage in a war of propaganda on behalf of an acceptable and peaceable Islam, we should have no illusions.

Over the decades, RFE and its like may have played an important role in causing the ideological rot that finally brought down the Soviet Union and Communism in Europe - and communism, though not the Communist Party, in China - , but we should remember how little success we had at "winning hearts and minds" in Vietnam.
