"You are not dead. This is not hell. This is our country."

Rachel about the spectacle of Trump gleefully elaborating the wonders of groupies and the sexual benefits of stardom.

Trump defiant

The Big Dog probably has said worse.

Remember Packwood?

And how about that after-midnight, defiant non-apology?

Bill was worse, Trump said, truthfully but unhelpfully to his cause.

Hill was his accomplice, he said, equally truthfully, equally unhelpfully.

Both the smoking gun video and the non-apology apology video are the real Trump.

A revolting clown.

Bill was at least equally revolting, but not a clown.

Nor is Hill.

October surprise?

Well, not really a surprise, is it?

P.S.

In fairness, Arianne Zucker is dressed like a pole dancer in that video.

Does that matter?

No.

On CNN after midnight this was the story.

On MSNBC after midnight this was the story.

On FNC after midnight Hurricane Matthew was the story.

P.P.S.

They will soon say it is, so I will now say it is not.

What Trump has displayed is not misogyny.

The man is a horn-dog of the ilk of Bill Clinton, Bob Packwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and many others.

He does not hate women or even think ill of them.

But he evidently mostly thinks of them, when he thinks of them at all, as participants with him in a porn flick.

We have already had one president whom everyone knows and knew at the time had that mind set, and the Democrats and feminists and even his famous wife defended him and stuck with him, even when he was disbarred for perjury when entirely plausible rape charges against him were being considered.

But, as noted, he was a Democrat.

He should have resigned for the good of the party and of the country, letting Al Gore assume the presidency.

But people who claw their way to the White House don't do things like that.

And that tells us what we can expect will be The Duce's response to demands he withdraw from the race.

Like hell, he will.

Maddow: ‘Pretty Good Chance’ We Don’t Know Who the GOP Nominee Is ‘By The End of This Weekend’

Rachel did say that.

Wishful thinking, since any such event would seriously damage the already faltering GOP campaigns all up and down the ticket.
