American Nietzsche

This book contains an immense amount of fascinating,  un-digested research marred only a little by intermittent passages of shallow academic drivel where there could have been,  but certainly didn't need to be, actual thought.

I do recommend it for its extensive sampling of popular,  middle-brow, and high-brow American assessments of Nietzsche since the end of the 19th Century.
