That budget busting deficit killing GOP tax cut for the rich was projected to cost the government $ 1 T in revenues over ten years.

Democratic media howled and whined about how damaging that was to the economy, the government, to crucial government activities and programs, etc.

So far, if I have not misunderstood, virus relief will cost $ 3 T this year and the current bill before congress - endorsed by Democrats and opposed by Republicans - would cost another $ 3 T.
