The Guardian REALLY doesn't want Hillary

Making at least as big a deal of all this as the American right.

Democrats clamor for credible Clinton challenger in wake of email revelations

I can see the GOP trying to scare Democrats away from Hillary.

She has a better chance, judging by current poll results, of beating any known Republican than any other Democrat.

But there are many on the left who can't stand her and are more than willing to risk a loss in 2016 in order to force the Democratic Party more to the left, as they measure things.

Much as over decades of intransigence the conservatives pushed the Republican Party way over to the right.

To be clear, all this email stuff, in particular, is bullshit, though it does fit with the standing attitude toward secrecy and privacy of The Guardian and every irresponsible hacker, journo, and blogger arrogant enough to agree with them.

"National Security? Right to privacy? We'll be the judge of that."

Appropriate American politicians from the White House down can claim to make those calls ex officio with the legitimacy that attaches to being elected.

By what right do renegades like Snowden, Assange, Greenwald, and Manning presume to make that call?

What is their claim to legitimacy?
