A Fair and Balanced story at Fox News

So, the Democrats are running these riots to destroy the American middle class?

Tucker Carlson: Kenosha riots prove urban unrest is 'class war masquerading as a race conflict'

Carlson pointed out that Kenosha is home to a large Hispanic immigrant population whose members were not seen rioting because working people are meant to work, he said, not start riots.

“As if we needed more evidence that this is actually a class war masquerading as a race conflict,” he said.

“That's exactly what it is designed to [do]: crush America's middle class. And it's working.”

Kenosha storeowners woke up Tuesday morning to their livelihoods destroyed, with one owner saying how “wrong” it is since her business services everyone, regardless of race.

“You can hear the confusion in her voice [asking] 'Why did they do this to me?'” Carlson said.

“And the short answer is because they could. Nobody stopped them from burning down her business or burning down the city.

"The Kenosha County Democratic Party didn't stop them. The Democratic Party of Kenosha decided to embrace the mob.

Is there rioting in any city controlled by local Republicans?

Are there any cities controlled by local Republicans?

Andrea Mitchell is being slapped around by Peter Navarro on plasma and a rushed vaccine

He's brushing off all worries about proper testing as mere Democrat talking points, bragging they will have a vaccine in a third the time it has taken in the past.

Hurray for Trump!

He has no clue how terrifying he and his idiot boss are.

I may just hunker down until March.

So much spin this news is really just industry propaganda

There is more money in hunting seals than hunting sharks, though both are hunted globally.

There is a dormant seal hunting industry in New England and lots of folks there who would like it to stop being dormant.

So these are stories about poor confused sharks mistaking swimmers for seals and, shucks, so sorry, by sheer honest mistake persistently attacking and chewing people up and feasting on the easy prey that is long pig.

It's not like any shark has ever spit out a swimmer, shrieking, "Shit! That's not a seal! What the fuck was that?"

And it's not the seals that are dining on the swimmers.

Is ABC news trying to inspire racial fury - racist fury - against whites?

Certainly looks it.

And it's not not just ABC but Democrat media in general.

With headlines and stories like this.

As to the actual reason, the disproportion would be better described as between richer and poorer among individuals, communities, and nations.

Is it shocking that the advanced portions of the world have better medical care?

Is there the least legitimate reason to attribute that to race, or is that just deliberate spreading of the fire of racial hate?

Is Joe B being bullied and shoved to the left?

This ad is all over my TV screen

How is "shifting funds" from the police budget to mental health expenses not defunding the police?

If Trump wanted to shift funds from the Social Security Trust Fund to FEMA hurricane relief wouldn't Democrats be howling about Bozo defunding Social Security?

Ad Watch: Super PAC attacks Biden in misleading ‘defund the police’ ad

Oh?

Is it misleading?

Apples and oranges both having their way.

Leftist rioters still raising hell after 47 days and violent criminals seizing an opportunity offered by police irresponsibility actually sometimes excused by right wing opinionators at Fox are nevertheless two very different things, willfully conflated in some right wing news coverage.

As city violence surges, liberal mayors engage in social media feuds with Trump officials

As violence and unrest surge in major cities across the U.S., liberal mayors are taking a combative stance toward the Trump administration and offers of federal help -- engaging in sometimes-feisty social media feuds with officials.

And the vitriol is flowing in both directions.

“Hey Karen. Watch your mouth,” Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot tweeted Thursday in response to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who described her as the “derelict mayor” of the city because of the surge in violence there.

At a guess, McEnany was thinking "dereliction of duty" while Lightfoot was thinking "dumpster diving wino".

But maybe not.

That tweet came the same evening as three people, including a 5-month-old baby boy, were shot in Chicago.

CBS Chicago reported that the Windy City has seen a 34 percent increase in murders and a 45 percent increase in shootings through the end of June compared with the same time last year.

But on Friday, Lightfoot was doubling down on her clapback after receiving praise for it online.

"This won't be the last time that his flacks try to take me on. But good luck," Lightfoot said.

"I'm still here. I'm going to lead this city the best I can.”

Meanwhile, in New York City, violence has skyrocketed.

The New York Post this week reported that on Monday alone, 17 people were shot in the city, while last month was the most violent June in the city since 1996.

Trump v de Blasio

But Mayor Bill de Blasio had made as one of his priorities the painting of a large yellow “Black Lives Matter” mural down Fifth Avenue -- right outside Trump Tower, in a clear knock at the current occupant of the White House.

Trump, another politician who is fond of a social media battle with his political foes, criticized de Blasio for the move and noted the mayor's efforts to cut police budgets as it tries to get to grips with a new crime wave.

“NYC is cutting Police $’s by ONE BILLION DOLLARS, and yet the @NYCMayor is going to paint a big, expensive, yellow Black Lives Matter sign on Fifth Avenue, denigrating this luxury Avenue,” Trump tweeted this month.

“Here’s what you don’t understand: Black people BUILT 5th Ave and so much of this nation,” de Blasio shot back.

“Your ‘luxury’ came from THEIR labor, for which they have never been justly compensated. We are honoring them. The fact that you see it as denigrating your street is the definition of racism.”

We are all familiar with and tired of the lies of the Great Fat Orange Klansman, but I at any rate am tiring of the ludicrous liberal lie, apparently to be endlessly repeated, that the black people of America "built this country".

While everyone else lazed around sipping Mint Juleps, no doubt.

And I confess I oppose the demand for reparations.

I deny most of the claims offered to defend that demand and accept those offered against it, as well as many other things that could be offered against it but generally aren't.

This poll is nearly a year old. Couldn't find one more recent.

Nearly 75% of African Americans support reparations for slavery. Only 15% of white Americans do, a poll says

I would guess more blacks and more whites favor the idea, today.

And again I am guessing that it's an idea whose time will eventually come.

Urban shootings

They [Fox News] say it's due to police blue flu, blamed not on cops but on lack of support for cops and the movement to defund police, blamed on demonstrators and Democrats.

Where's the outrage, they ask, where's Al Sharpton?

Pompeo attacks Tik Tok

Fox News.

The app sends the data on your phone to China.

The US company president, an American, says it's bullshit, the Trumpists made it all up.

Fox v MSNBC at 9 am

MSNBC, a black regular interviews a black professor,  both committed to the BLM agenda.

They are denouncing Trump for his divisive, racist weekend speeches.

Fox, prominent coverage of the epidemic of violence in the major cities, the NGs called out to Atlanta, more murders in Chicago.

Police Chiefs protest criminals let out of jail on account of the virus are doing this.

Fox firmly denounces movements to defund police and shorten sentences for dangerous criminals, demands support for law enforcement.

Kayleigh at the White House expresses dismay that yesterday she was asked not one question about the awful violence of the weekend.

Trump will refile paperwork to end DACA in line with the recent Supreme Court ruling on his previous effort to abolish it.

The Mayor of Atlanta and both others of her nuclear family have all tested positive for the virus.

She is so far without symptoms.

Do American blacks hate whites and white America the way Arabs hate Jews and Israel?

No doubt.

More than seventy years of liberal shouting about white racism and black rage and about how they, too, would riot and destroy and hate white people have had a marked impact, encouraging black rage and black belief in white racism.

As was intended, all that time.

White people are aware.

And the hate propaganda becomes earsplitting during election years, especially presidential years.

Why do you suppose so many whites think black hatred of them, "reverse racism", is the biggest problem in American today, bigger than white hatred of blacks?

All those decades of left wing hate propaganda had an impact on whites, too.

And yet they (we) put Obama in the White House, twice, though we knew he had very sore toes about race.

Twice.

And to this day those whites think he may have been the finest president in a long time.

The most presidential in a very, very long time.

Cancel culture, BLM ideology, and Krugman's Red Guards

Don't recall seeing much, if any, of this on CNN or MSNBC.

Or BBC News, for that matter.

All of them too busy as cheerleaders and megaphones for the mob and the key mob propaganda points of BLM.

Not being a Fox viewer or regular reader I didn't know Krugman has lost his mind, for example.

(But I have noticed the long articles on their site are often exceptionally information rich.)

Paul Krugman, professors seek top economist's removal from influential job for criticizing Black Lives Matter

Quite a lot of information in this story.

Gregg Re doesn't like what Herr Krugman and these Cultural Revolutionaries are doing.

Neither does Andrew Sullivan, a well-known political moderate.

(Whose job may be in jeopardy.)

Nor does Michael Walzer, a much honored leftist intellectual.

An interesting story about a white radical destroyer of statues, described as "antifa".

One about the leader of the Times' extraordinary weaponization of history, The 1619 Project

Think Howard Zinn, but with a lot more vitriol.

NRO on the project. As history, it's worthless propaganda.

I have the impression the position of the right on racism in law enforcement under Trump is much as it has been for decades, that there is little or no racial bias in law enforcement and no institutional racism in America.

That view seems not to be shared even by most whites, these days.

Very likely, when Americans say they agree with the ideas of BLM this is what they mean.

Very likely, they otherwise have no idea what those ideas are.

"Why gang of 8?" Steph asks.

China, Gang of Four.

Red Guards in the UK try to take over higher education

Only fifth of UK universities have said they will 'decolonise' curriculum

And evident approval of these demands by The Guardian is part of why I never contributed money to The Guardian.

The Guardian is too far left for me on race issues.

Well, identity issues in general, actually.

Didn't like their stand on the Elgin Marbles, either.

How far has America just blown off the virus?

As far as cable news networks have?

Are the media looking for stupid reasons to deny Biden your vote?

No surprise Trumpists leaped on this, but Democrats? Bernie diehards, maybe?

Biden: ‘If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black’

Oh, the horror! The horror!

No, he didn't, and what he told them does not have the same meaning as that.

Biden draws criticism for saying voters who back Trump 'ain't black'

And he didn't say that, either, though if invited to he might say it, or anyway agree with it.

All over the world . . . .

. . . . politicians are drawing back from or rejecting lockdowns because, they say, their countries just can't afford it.

They can't afford to hide at home waiting for a vaccine.

Not just Brazil, but India, for two examples.

If you go to work you might contribute to the spread of the disease and the misery and death it causes and, heck, you might even die yourself, though that's much less likely.

If you don't go to work you lose your home or your car, you and your children get tossed into the street, or maybe you just starve.

In most of the world, nobody is sending you a relief check, nobody is declaring an eviction holiday, nobody is providing low interest loans you don't even have to pay back if your business jumps through the right hoops.

Watching BBC World News.

Jeez. Waddaya think?

It's as though somebody told the staff at MSNBC the line is pro-lockdown and all the news has to slant that way.

CNN, too, though maybe not as emphatically.

And somebody told the staff at FoxNews the line is anti-lockdown and all the news has to slant that way.

Just as though.

What a wonder.

Put it on a postcard and mail it to the geezers who stare all day at Fox News

Trump Takes Social Security Hostage In His Latest Coronavirus Stimulus Demand

Btw, I am a Democrat and not a socialist.

Chris Matthews spoke for me when he spoke out against Democrats bragging stupidly about being socialists and the idea of a Democratic candidate who had even that same week cosied up to Castro.

And given the truth about their attitude towards journos and the press his charge socialists back in the later days of the cold war would have shot people like him in Central Park if they had ever taken over America was right on target.

He wasn't talking about Michael Harrington. He was talking about Angela Davis or, in earlier days, Gus Hall.
