So what's the real goal?

If it's to deny Bozo a second term then Bloomberg needs to not take sides between those seeking the Dem nomination and work for whoever wins against Trump.

If he feels he must spend money against Trump now attacks on Bozo are fine.

But if the point is to keep Bernie out of the White House even at the risk of crippling the Dem effort against Trump then Bloomberg should go all in for Joe Biden.

Biden had a good Super Tuesday

Bloomberg quits, backs Joe Biden after former VP wins Texas in Super Tuesday breakout

The New Yorker spent half a billion on his campaign and won American Samoa.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrestled with the embarrassment of losing at home in Massachusetts. Biden’s win amounted to a major upset over both her and Sanders, who had led Warren in polls just days earlier. She planned to spend Wednesday assessing her options.

The other major candidate, billionaire media mogul Michael Bloomberg, a former New York mayor, spent $500 million from his vast personal fortune, with little to show for it but a stack of invoices from TV networks and Facebook, though he did win American Samoa and at least four delegates there – small consolation on a night when Democrats parceled out 1,344 pledged delegates, a third of the total.

He joins a list of candidates through history who tried to bypass the initial small state contests without success. He did top the 15% threshold in Texas needed to get some statewide delegates.

“I’ve always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday’s vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden,” he said.

"I'm in it to win it"

Bloomberg Bets $500 Million On Super Tuesday Wins

No matter what happens on Super Tuesday, former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has already made history.

The billionaire philanthropist and businessman has run the most expensive self-funded campaign ever, crossing the $500 million mark in ad spending alone in the days before Tuesday's contests.

. . . .

[H]e also signaled in an interview on FOX News on Monday, that even if he doesn't win in upcoming primaries he has another path to the nomination – a contested convention.

"The most likely scenario for the Democratic Party is that nobody has a majority — it goes to a convention where there's horse trading and everybody decides to compromise," Bloomberg said.

He added "it doesn't even have to be the leading candidate; it could be the one with a smaller number of delegates."

He said the rules say you can "swap votes and make deals."

. . . .

Bloomberg victories in any number of Super Tuesday states would almost certainly keep him in the race and scramble the math for clinching the Democratic nomination.

One sign of confidence: He plans to spend Tuesday campaigning in Florida ahead of the state's March 17 contest.

However, failure to win a single state — for a campaign that staked it all on Super Tuesday — would likely leave Bloomberg with no viable path to the nomination and calls for him to drop out of the race.

"I'm in it to win it," Bloomberg said Monday at a campaign stop in Northern Virginia.

. . . .

Regardless, Bloomberg's role in 2020 is expected to continue.

He has pledged to continue to spend money to elect whoever is the nominee — even if it is Sanders.

Amy K withdraws, will endorse Joe B tonight at rally

With her 'Klomentum' gone, Amy Klobuchar ends her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who pitched herself as a moderate with Midwestern appeal and the political "grit" to beat President Donald Trump, ended her presidential bid Monday, her campaign said in a statement.

Klobuchar will endorse former Vice President Joe Biden at at rally tonight in Dallas, her campaign said.

Will Mayor Pete show up at that rally?

Will Tom Steyer?

Bloomberg should drop out now, too, and throw his money and his ads behind Joe B.

But I don't think he will.

Nor will Warren withdraw and throw her support to Bernie.

MSNBC: Mayor Pete and Joe B have spoken on the phone about consolidation of support

Pete Buttigieg mulls endorsement of Joe Biden after talking with Obama as Super Tuesday looms

Pete Buttigieg is reportedly considering endorsing Joe Biden for president Monday after talking to former President Obama about his bombshell decision to pull out of the race.

CNN reported that Mayor Pete is “mulling an endorsement” of the resurgent Biden just a day before Democrats go to the polls to pick about a third of the delegates at stake on Super Tuesday.

Obama, who holds enormous sway over Democratic voters, told Buttigieg that he should consider using his “considerable leverage” at a pivotal moment in the race.

But he did not specifically encourage him to endorse Biden, according to reports.

Buttigieg, the first openly gay major party presidential candidate, did not mention any plans for an endorsement when he announced his withdrawal from the race Sunday night.

If Buttigieg were to back Biden it could radically reshape the race just as voters face a crucial stretch that will likely determine the nominee who will seek to unseat President Trump In November.

The headline at Fox is little different, aimed at helping Trump stir the pot for maximum destabilization of the Democrats.

Trump says end of Buttigieg campaign is the beginning of Dems' plan to stop Sanders

Bloomberg thinking about pulling out to give Joe B a better shot?

Mike Bloomberg was one of Pat Toomey's top donors.

So reports local Action News station channel 4.

Mike Bloomberg supported hard right and Trump loyalist Senator Pat Toomey against Democrats whom he did not support.

Oh, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Mike Mikus remembers it as a “kick in the gut.”

Amid one of the most pivotal campaigns in the country in 2016, one many thought could decide control of the Senate, Mike Bloomberg poured millions of dollars into the contest — to help Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Pat Toomey.

“It helped both operationally in terms of the money spent, but it also allowed Pat Toomey to use that endorsement to create a false impression that he’s a moderate,” said Mikus, a consultant who worked for Toomey’s Democratic opponent, Katie McGinty.

Bloomberg, now a rising Democratic candidate for president, used his television ads to vouch for Toomey as a centrist problem solver.

Toomey a centrist? If Grover Norquist is just a tad to the right of center.

Bloomberg is really beginning to have a bad smell, to me.

How's this for balls?

On Wednesday, Bloomberg’s campaign called on Joe Biden, Warren and Buttigieg to drop out.

“Biden and Warren have crumbled … Buttigieg has stagnated,” said the Bloomberg memo. “If they remain in the race, “they will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead.”

On Thursday, Buttigieg’s campaign strongly suggested Bloomberg should leave the race, for the exact same reason.

“If Bloomberg remains in the race despite showing he cannot offer a viable alternative to Bernie Sanders, he will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead.”

So, it's all about stopping Trump, eh?

Or maybe not.

Those who prioritize beating Trump over beating Bernie would worry beating Bernie by such means would embitter his supporters and improve rather than hurt Trump's chances of beating the Dem nominee, as compared with his chances in a race against Bernie.

But those whose aim is to stop Bernie may or may not really care very much that Trump not get a second term.

Bloomberg campaign posts fake video of him mopping up the floor with the other Dems when in fact he fared very poorly.

What next? Next he hires Russians away from Trump.

Mike Bloomberg will pay you $150 to say nice things about him

Money can’t buy you friends.

But it can buy you influence – or influencers, to be precise.

In the latest round of “What will Mike Bloomberg buy next?” (he has already been accused of buying his way into the presidential race) Bloomberg is offering $150 a pop to Instagram influencers willing to shill for his campaign, according to the Daily Beast.

The Bloomberg campaign is using the social marketing agency Tribe to recruit influencers.

A post on Tribe’s platform – which matches influencers with paid opportunities – asks influencers to apply for the gig by explaining “why Mike Bloomberg is the electable candidate who can rise above the fray, work across the aisle so ALL Americans feel heard & respected”.

The advert specifies influencers should “be honest, passionate and be yourself!”

Not so much for Pete as against Bernie

How the Democrats handled Iowa.

The panic of leading talkers at Democratic media at the prospect of Bernie being the nominee.

The shrill insistence that he can't win disguising the desire to keep him and his agenda (not really socialist but really progressive) out of the White House, or anyway from gaining more traction in the Democratic Party.

Some You Tube commentators flatly characterize this as class war within the Democratic Party, with neolibs of the Clintonista variety, old and new, old and young, denouncing Bernie and his supporters as an ideological cult, a cult of personality, a cult of purity, loony lefties far more committed to taking over a party they despise than actually driving out Trump.

His Democratic enemies pretend pushing Bernie aside is all about beating Trump.

But are they just using the necessity of beating Trump as a smokescreen for class war?

Well, yes, of course there's that.

But for some of them, anyway, both concerns could be real.

Did Mayor Pete lie to kill a poll that would have embarrassed him?

Did he demand a recount to deny Bernie a clear win?

MSNBC more and more open to such skepticism about Bernie.

Ah. Another campaign of lies.

Judge Judy sets the stage for Bloomberg’s anti-Trump rally

Is he running as a Democratic Trump?

Mike Bloomberg slammed President Trump – as well as his Democratic rivals – Saturday as he kicked off what he called “Day One” of his run for the White House.

“Unlike everyone else in this race, I think what’s important is beating Donald Trump,” he told about 45 supporters at a restaurant in San Antonio.

. . . .

TV’s Judge Judy Sheindlin introduced Bloomberg with a dig at the left-wing Democrats running for the nomination.

“Those that are touting revolution in this country are wrong,” she said.

“It’s the best country on earth … It should have the greatest president.”
