The man who has never yet said a word about that spy murder in Britain and didn't say a word about continuing Russian occupation of part of Ukraine or meddling in our election when he called Putin last month did, it turns out, invite Putin to a nice visit to the White House, whenever he likes but soon.
Also, there are reports today that Trump wants to withdraw from Syria, leaving the country to Putin and Assad, abandoning US clients and Kurds.
The Dow is down more than 500 points today, so far, from additional Chinese trade retaliation, from the troubles of Facebook, and from Trump's days of lying and Luddite attacks on Amazon.
Amazon, Facebook, and other tech stocks as well as Walmart and other big box stocks are down severely.
Trump thinks he can undo decades of globalization, modernization, and even robotization of our economy by forcing us into a 1950's, isolationist, protectionist model.
And he is specifically out to beat up Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon and, yes, the far from pro-Trump Washington Post.
Update. At 2:13 pm, the Dow is down 696 points for the day, so far.
