Sierra Leone army blockades Ebola areas, Liberia declares emergency
Several cases in Lagos thanks to a US health worker who flew there from Liberia and died after infecting care-givers, who in turn . . . etc.
In Sierra Leone, hospitals are abandoned and health care workers have fled the country.
The military has sealed off geographic areas of infection.
State of Emergency in Liberia where the government is doing much the same sort of thing.
Already too late?
Closing the barn door . . . . . ?
In traumatized Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, Ebola chaos
The story leads with a photo of prophylactic measures at Inchon International Airport in South Korea.
As for Africa,
There are bodies in the streets.
People are afraid to bury the dead.
Those who are afraid are smart.
Ebola is most contagious after it has killed its host.
The US has ordered its diplomats out of Liberia altogether.
And medicines? Playing the race card, already.
No Ebola drug for Africans
MSN chose that headline.
If you read the story you see there is no Ebola drug at all.
And you will see this.
"This shows simply that white patients and black patients do not have the same value in the eyes of world medicine," said Nouridine Sow, a sociology professor at the Universal Institute of Guinea.
The outbreak was first seen in Guinea and has spread to Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria, killing almost 1,000 people since March.
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health said the drug manufacturer has told the U.S. government that it would take two to three months to produce even "a modest amount."
"We don't even know if it works," he stressed.
So what?
It's always time to stoke racial hatred of white people.
Think of it as a useful preemptive strike with hate bombs.
Many Africans - and American blacks - to this day insist AIDS was created by white people to kill off huge numbers of black people.
Blood libel, anyone?
