A good account, but Maher is not so much a "man of the left" as all that. Anybody who would even consider Rand Paul . . . .

Ben Affleck's Islam Problem

I sometimes suspect Maher sides with liberals only because the Christian right weirds him out.

Maher is half Jewish, and that often seems the only half that engages his brain and his mouth.

But anyway Lowry seriously errs in taking O for a clone of Affleck.

Affleck is an ignorant boob with a head stuffed full of PC cliches.

O is a man who has to fight Muslims without playing recruiter for them over the whole Muslim world, where he needs to dissuade from extremism and encourage alliances as far as he can.

Neither he nor any world leader with a dog in this fight can speak quite so freely as all that.

Though, as to that, we don't have to have a dog in this fight, at all.

And shouldn't.
