Obama condemns those who seek to 'hijack religion'
Let's be clear.
This is the sort of thing, characteristic of the liberal religion O generally parrots, that any Western leader has to utter, lest he inadvertently encourage Muslims to all take sides with Jihaders and terrorists when their enemy happens to be us rather than other Muslims, as it more commonly is.
But that doesn't make it true.
Or, rather, in the present case, I can agree with his sweeping and childishly ignorant claim only because I am an atheist.
But of course the real problem is not the truth but what people think is the truth.
Not what gods do or don't exist but what people believe exists.
And that's quite another kettle of fish.
Consider Waltrip's remarks, for example.
Conservatives have been hinting, if not saying outright, for some time that O is actually a Muslim and, however that may be, that he is on the side of Iran, or Muslim Jihaders, or the Muslim Brotherhood.
Hasn't let up.
