Obama's Unscrupulous Selma Speech

It is incomprehensible to me that she is here writing of the same speech I read, the speech he delivered at the bridge, yesterday, maybe the best of his presidency or even his entire public career.

And yet Lincoln was met with just such ferocious hate.

Lincoln and Martin Luther King and both Jack and Bobby Kennedy.

Even LBJ, come to that, who was of course not assassinated.

For decades the left has so obscured the view of Johnson with their own hatred as to make invisible the hatred felt for him by the right over his entire domestic agenda, about poverty and about race.

The conservatives are talking mostly about how the NYT cropped a picture of the speech, this morning, and not the speech itself.

What little they have to say is bitterly critical, of course.
