About that Klan vote

If you oppose government imposed minority or gender quotas or preferences of any sort, including quotas for public or private employment or school admissions and the like, you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose identity-based government programs for racial, religious, or sexual minorities or women that exclude others from benefits you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose immigration rules that favor nonwhite immigration you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose immigration rules that would, and that are intended to, turn whites into a minority in America you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose laws or readings of the constitution that allow all or nearly all minority or women's schools or clubs but outlaw the same for whites or men you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose government imposed integration, busing, and the like you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose government imposed racial or identity based controls of who people or organizations or companies can hire or who they serve, you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose laws or readings of the constitution that justify or impose identity based admissions or hiring rules on schools receiving federal or other public money, or identity based educational policies or content controls on education, you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose government reparations for slavery to be paid to American black people you'll get the Klan vote.

If you oppose open borders and support serious efforts to prevent illegal immigration, you'll get the Klan vote.

So I don't really care that The Donald is getting the Klan vote, or that Republicans generally get the Klan vote while Democrats don't.

I do care that Trump has signaled special sympathy for the Klan as an organization, whose history is one of violence and terrorism directed first against American freedmen and for many decades against American blacks.

I do care that he has repeatedly and even angrily promised extravagant efforts - a wall that, in his bombast, he says he will force Mexico to pay for - to prevent illegal nonwhite immigration and a massive undertaking of barbarous and cruel ethnic cleansing to force out of America some 11 million Hispanics.

And I am alarmed that his supporters are filled with enthusiasm for him by that exact agenda.
