The misnaming of things

It's not just in politics.

It conceals truth rather than revealing it to write of razors being mild or aggressive, or to rate them for aggressiveness, particularly when aggressiveness is defined as the physical feature of razors that causes them to be literally aggressive in the normal sense of the word.

In truth, razors are mild or harsh, and they are being rated for harshness.

Shaving with so-called aggressive razors results in much bloodshed, razor burn, and pain - all due to the above-mentioned physical feature.

These razors are justly called harsh because they give harsh shaves.

Shaving with a mild razor almost never involves the least dab of blood, or the least bit of pain or razor burn.

These razors are justly called mild because they give mild shaves.

Clear?
