By no means clear they regard this as a problem

It's not new, after all.

Nonwhites - well, blacks, anyway - have almost to a man supported Democrats in politics, and been Democrats if politicians, at all levels for decades.

Little late to be discovering fire, isn't it?

The party of white men? Will Hurd's exit exposes Republicans' diversity problem

White men? And most white women, too, if I am not mistaken.

According to another story, 53% of white women voted for Trump in 2016.

Anyway,

As a party led almost exclusively by white men, represented in Congress overwhelmingly by white men and increasingly dependent on the votes of white men, Republicans have for years paid lip service to the need to “better reflect the makeup of the United States”.

I think that's true.

I think it is lip service.

I think they don't really have a real problem with the racial demographics, they only have a problem with a possibly declining ability to win elections.

It is Democrats who propaganda insists it is a problem, hammering for decades now with that same old sledge hammer, accusations of racism.
