Off to a good start

Pittsburgh home opener, the first pitch to a Pirate was hit for a home run.

Packed house in the middle of a weekday afternoon.

Thank you, Mister Harrison.

Cole pitching and keeping the Tigers to nothing, a couple of innings their first three batters going out in order.

Could be a short game.

I love PNC Park.

The views from inside out are beautiful city-scapes in every direction.

79 F right now out there.

Beautiful, sunny baseball day.

This morning, knowing the forecast, I took the cover off the AC compressor and flipped the outdoor power switch from off to on, locking the box again when done.

A new neighbor has young kids and there are no fences separating the back yards.

Update.

When Gerrit Cole left the game after 6 the Pirates had a 5 - 0 lead.

Full disclosure: when he walked off to a standing ovation the bases were loaded with Tigers. Oops.

The relief pitcher, Hughes, got away with just one Tiger run scoring that inning (attributed to Cole) but still a total of three relievers damned near blew it, squeaking by with a 5 - 4 victory for the Burg.
