The liberals want to use the Olympics to punish the Russian government and Russian society for its attitude toward gays.
Their culture war has been global for a long time.
Read the UN declaration of human rights.
Some people say the terrorist attacks of 9/11 were blowback.
Quite true.
But the whole Islamist movement is blowback against Western cultural impositions on Muslim nations, especially those subjected to European imperial/colonial rule, frankly so-called or in the guise of a League of Nations or United Nations mandate.
Liberals are not likely to say so.
Nor are they the least likely to back off on their provocative and dangerous global culture war.
Hillary certainly won't.
