Classic misdirection

A man shows up at Delmonico’s stark naked and asks to be seated for dinner.

The head waiter demurs saying he can’t be admitted without a tie.

So, OK, back up.

Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson was on a Nation of Islam radio show and the flap is that he denounced Clarence Thomas for being an “Uncle Tom”?

He was on a Nation of Islam radio show?

How symptomatic of the extent to which mainstream conservatism is, indeed, “race-whipped.”

Here’s another.

Consider the extent to which mainstream conservatism now accepts, and even urges, legally mandatory “race blindness” in all things, having adopted as their own the liberal lie that the US constitution requires that, everywhere, of everyone.

And consider that no mainstream conservative, arguing against liberal “remedies” for the continued dismal performance of American blacks in schools, on the job, or in any other aspect of American life, will now avail himself, as conservatives used so often to do, of the frankly racist argument that American blacks are just dumber, more shiftless, more violent, or more irresponsible by nature, than those against whom they compete in America.

And also more disposed to instantly, furiously, and incorrigibly blame others for their own failures, to the point of commencing to burn America down rather than face the truth or even hear it said aloud.

See, for instance, Why Liberals Think Conservatives Are Racist, which absurdly credits liberals with actually believing their own propaganda.

But “race-whipped” is certainly not the only kind of whipped today’s mainstream conservatives are.

For example, they have become equally pitiful as regards the PC destruction of men-only institutions that has quite deliberately left standing their girls-only equivalents as key centers of and testimonies to feminist power, no doubt the primal and Wiccan power of The Goddess.

This is not just about Augusta National or other men’s social clubs, or even just private colleges, but also about military academies and the armed forces, themselves, and so more profoundly it is about societal acceptance of differentiated sex roles emerging from egregious and crucially relevant biological differences.

What do mainstream conservatives any longer have to say about any of that?

Or about the only too obvious feminist rebellion against those very biological differences, made plain in the recent nonsense about a “rape culture” in the military and the performance therein of the horrible regiment of women?

And when the president recently quite casually denounced church-affiliated schooling in America – K through whatever, I suppose – as “divisive” there was barely a peep out of the right in their defense.

Do mainstream conservatives actually stand for anything, any more, apart from the domestic and global interests of neoliberal plutocracy?

Like what?
