Whistleblower Chelsea Manning made second suicide attempt
Bradley Manning is not a whistle blower but a criminal guilty of exposing much classified information to our enemies and indeed all comers.
He has done serious harm to national security and that he is admired and his crime supported by so many is a great disservice to us all.
He deserves serious and real punishment to send a much needed message both to him and to others.
But he is obviously personally fragile and has been treated with exceptional cruelty by the government since he was first taken into custody, years ago.
And it does not seem apt to get better anytime over the length of his 35 year sentence.
To put it bluntly if not charitably, Manning is seriously fucked up and suffers horribly for it, and if playing along with his gender fantasies will help diminish the terrible stress he is under it ought to be done.
