Johnson, who was in Berlin on Friday, used a press conference to play down the significance of Thursday’s ruling, which the government says it is “confident” it can overturn on appeal at the supreme court next month.
The high court ruled that it was not constitutional for the government to trigger article 50 without a vote by MPs.
