How to be a hit with the right wing masses

Roger Stone: Judge Napolitano Likely Supreme Court Nominee From Donald Trump

More talk about denying Trump the nomination at the convention.

But there are plenty of people on both sides of the political divide who says it's over and Trump is now unstoppable.

Christopher Barron has got this pretty much right, though PB would dispute any use of "conservative" that would deny him the label.

And how can anyone think this outlook or its constituency are new?

It’s no longer possible to say the Republican party is a conservative party.

You can’t even say the Republican party’s base is conservative.

It appears that a new, populist-nationalist wing has wrested control of the of the GOP away from its familiar constituency.

This is no longer the party of William F Buckley and Jack Kemp.

It’s now the party of Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot.

Andrew Bacevich is so distressed he says Trump will be the end of the American republic.

Rod Dreher shares his pessimism.

Bacevich does not realize the irony.

Peron happened because the oligarchs controlling the Argentine government relentlessly crushed the lower orders and refused to accede to their demands for relief.

Caesar happened because the oligarchs who controlled the Roman republic never gave an inch and ran the whole empire to suit themselves, a handful of rich bastards running one tiny city state.

Dana Milbank tries to explain Bernie's continuing failure without doing more than discreetly alluding to race.

Why Democrats didn’t feel the Bern

Frank Bruni suggests disappointed Sanders supporters might actually vote for Trump.

I find that incredible, but it's a crazy year and both of them have been running against free trade neoliberalism and, before his handlers shut Bernie up, high low-wage immigration.

People who opposed him from the start are now saying it's over for Bernie and he needs to knock it off.
