Trump prepares his foreign policy revolution?

As GW once said, elections have consequences.

Most portentous stuff yesterday was not about immigration or Muslims.

Bannon and Priebus on the NSC, but not the generals or intelligence chiefs.

The Russians saying Trump suggested some sort of partnership with them in his call to Putin.

Add the sudden firing of the top State Department folks and perhaps it's all preparation for Trump's America First, foreign policy revolution.

Anne Applebaum just now on MSNBC speculated on what she called "a new Yalta," a new US acceptance of Eastern Europe as a natural Russian sphere of influence, perhaps extending south into the Balkans and the Middle East or Central Asia.

You have to wonder.

Mattis can make all the promises he wants, but he's not the boss and while he's making his promises the boss seems to be up to something quite else in the background.
