Iran certification

180 House Democrats ask Trump to certify Iran nuclear deal

The intelligence community told him Iran is in compliance with the deal.

Tillerson told him that and told him to sign off that it is.

So has anybody else in the cabinet with something to say on it, I think.

But Trump promised his base, as moronic as the man himself, throughout his campaign that he would scuttle the deal, denouncing it then and repeatedly after his election as horrible for the US and for the world.

That was one of the inconsistencies in his positions that led some to characterize his entire agenda as incoherent nonsense.

It's a position of the "war party" who have continued even since his election to urge a US war against Iran, opposed by actual Buchananite America Firsters and defended by John Bolton, who might be his choice for Secretary of State if Tillerson leaves.

(It is seriously reported Bozo rejected Bolton and went with Tillerson to start because he thinks the Captain Kangaroo moustache is not appropriate for a man in the cabinet.)

And it seems (God knows why) the only way he can do that is to lie and say Iran is not in compliance.

So every 90 days his hesitations put the world on tenterhooks while he decides.

The only known alternative to the deal is war.
