Absolutely.
The mini-Mussolini of white rage has been goading the players for weeks, has he not, intentionally provoking them to get in deeper and deeper?
This is Trump in a favorite pose, that of the white tribal leader sticking up for his people against hostile blacks and their endless faux victimization, their ingratitude, and their hatred for America.
Democrats and Trump both, in fact, think it's good for them to paint him as the white guy in a grudge fight with America's blacks.
And, truth be told, it's not just Trump but, really, the whole Republican Party that's been playing the flip side of the race card, not since Nixon, but since LBJ set the Democrats' new course by sticking his finger in the eyes of segregationists - mostly Democrats, at the time, but not since - all over America.
Way too much of the classe politique, and too many of our major political institutions, are way too invested in fomenting suspicion, hostility, and divisions among whites and others, especially blacks, among the American people, and making all that the political obsession of the media.
Anything but the class war it's really all about, right?
