Bill Maher Defends Calling COVID-19 “Chinese” Virus As A Product Of Wet Markets

Many of the reports and perhaps all of the anti-Maher attacks have ignored this key point.

For decades the WHO, the UN, and even our own public health authorities like Anthony Fauci have pointed to Chinese toleration of sales of live wild animals at wet markets as a shocking and deadly public health menace to the entire human race.

Maher listed 5 or 6 different deadly viruses that have come from China and joked that viruses come from China like shortstops come from the Dominican Republic.

And it's worth knowing that China closed the wet markets at the beginning of the outbreak, just as it did at the beginning of the SARS outbreak.

And as Bill reports it China has allowed them to reopen again, just as it did shortly after the start of the SARS outbreak.

And as long as they refuse to ban sale of live wild animals at these markets they should be attacked and blamed for all the resulting virus deaths.

While yet it remains true that Trump is just doing his thing, voicing his own racism and pandering to it in others.
