The Imitation Game
Just saw it on COMCAST on demand.
Brilliant movie, wonderful script, acting, direction, filming.
Not an accurate history lesson or biography, however.
The differences from truth make for more focused drama and help bring out the cruelty of what was done to him, I think.
If we had a list of all the well-known people who had been bullied mercilessly at school it would be quite long.
If we had a list of all the most creative and bright people who were homosexuals, it would also be quite long, and there would be a lot of names on both lists.
And if we had a list of brilliant and creative homosexuals imprisoned or otherwise persecuted for their proclivity but who nevertheless survived and continued their outstanding careers, that would be a pretty long list, too.
Wikipedia has a list of homosexuals but that's not quite the thing.
