CNN conflates 3 different things in less than a paragraph

8 charts that explain America's gun culture

Three quarters of gun owners believe owning a gun is a fundamental freedom.

About three-quarters of gun owners say owning a gun is essential to their freedom.

% saying each is essential to their own sense of freedom. (74% of gun owners)

And 50% is not a majority; anything > 50% is.

The Second Amendment apart, wouldn't it make sense to treat different types of weapons differently, and impose differing limits on the number one person could own of the different types of weapons?

Shouldn't different types of licenses cover different types of firearms, with differing requirements and qualifications to obtain licenses of different types?

Just a thought.

Would there be fewer mass killings if nobody had any guns?

Maybe.

But Tim McVeigh took down a building in Oklahoma City with a pickup loaded with fertilizer.

No false hopes or naive expectations, OK?
