Not a president for all Americans, or even most

This is how Trump pumps up Republicans for the midterms.

The big tax cut pleased nobody but the rich, and was a big nothingburger for the vast majority of Trump voters.

So beating up on the mostly not so white illegals coming in from Mexico is his plan B to get them enthused enough to come out in droves.

Anyway, that's some people's view.

Me, I think November is a long ways off.

And this is Trump the Cruel letting his inner thug have some fun.

Steve M. quotes new polls.

CNN:

Two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the Trump administration's practice of taking undocumented immigrant children from their families and putting them in government facilities on US borders, according to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS

Only 28% approve.

But among Republicans, there is majority support for the policy....

Quinnipiac:

American voters oppose 66 - 27 percent the policy of separating children and parents when families illegally cross the border into America, according to a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today.

Republican voters support the separation policy 55 - 35 percent, the only listed party, gender, education, age or racial group to support it....

Trump ramps up rhetoric: Dems want 'illegal immigrants' to 'infest our country'

CNN reports on this loathsome man.

President Donald Trump amplified his heated immigration rhetoric on Tuesday, accusing Democrats of wanting "illegal immigrants ... to pour into and infest our country," language evoking images of pests, not human beings.

"Democrats are the problem. They don't care about crime and want illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be, to pour into and infest our Country, like MS-13. They can't win on their terrible policies, so they view them as potential voters!" he wrote.

. . . .

Last month, the administration publicly announced its decision to charge every adult caught crossing the border illegally with federal crimes, as opposed to referring those with children mainly to immigration courts, as previous administrations did.

Because the government is charging the parents in the criminal justice system, children are separated from them, with no clear procedure for their reunification aside from hotlines the parents can call to try to track their children down.
