Or they're going to need tens of billions from FEMA every single year to keep rebuilding that city after annual devastation in that increasingly absurd and uninhabitable location.
And this is only the beginning.
We have lots of really big coastal cities.
And not too many inland cities to pay the freight.
And that's a big part of what future politics will be about, though of course both sides will make it about race just as much as they can.
Most of the American people live near coasts, and their cities and towns will need increasingly huge annual relief from the taxpayers in areas not annually destroyed.
The Democrats in the House will routinely OK these massive and increasingly conficatory and unsustainable bailouts, while the Republicans in the Senate will resist.
