When I was a kid the most shocking thing films could do to show the insane Nazi dehumanization of Germany's victims was to represent on screen their troops and camp guards forcing people of all ages and sexes into parades of public nudity, herding them and moving among them as one would among cattle.
But since Abu Ghraib we know we have adopted their methods.
