The Little Green Book

The Western press reported the Ayatollah Khomeini as the leader from exile of the Iranian Revolution against the Shah, interviewed him in Paris, and lionized him.

The Shah had been put in power by a coup assisted by Eisenhower's CIA, and he spent his reign in a constant struggle with communists and Islamists.

His secret police were not gentle in the struggle.

As they watched his secular, modernizing, pro-American and pro-Israeli regime founder, American liberals and those further left favored the revolution and hid the disaster behind a smoke-screen of fantasies about the country being taken over by a secularist and democratic regime.

Many people were not deceived, and some produced, while the Ayatollah was still in Paris, the famous Little Green Book full of excerpts of his writings on various topics.

The book expressed hate, violence, and backwardness every bit as much as his face.

The Little Green Book

It was condemned immediately and has been constantly since as a product of deepest and most vile Islamophobia.

But it is in reality a product of the deepest and most abject Muslim neo-medievalism.
