Catholic hospital denies Michigan woman treatment on religious grounds
TL is a totally effective form of contraception and as such some Catholics decline to do the procedure.
And that is certainly a liberty issue, if not necessarily a specifically religious liberty issue, though the reason for not providing the service is religious.
Mexican restaurants needn't sell Chinese food, and this is a liberty issue though the reason they don't want to needn't be religious.
Anyway, probably, the bishops' view is that the lady should abstain, though I am not aware the Church has ever insisted sex after menopause is wrong and the Church's position on the rhythm method is blatantly hypocritical.
The Church considers sex without the possibility of reproduction immoral, and so opposes birth control, with the exception noted.
You might think, given her condition and the Doctrine of Double Effect, they would cut her some slack.
But no.
