Jeremy Corbyn called for ‘complete rehabilitation’ of Leon Trotsky in Parliament
The Labor Party sought, back in the day, to prevent infiltration and ideological subversion by leftists committed to revolutionary socialism, of which Trotskyism is a type.
Hence entry into the party by Trotskyites was prevented.
The relevance is that today, Corbyn's support is suspected of including many radicals who ought not in principle to be allowed in the party at all, for lack of commitment to democracy.
Corbyn has rejected concern with the issue.
His past call for Soviet rehabilitation of Trotsky is taken as evidence he is himself far too sympathetic to the revolutionary left and is only too glad of the presence in the party of such folks, and of their support for him.
Note his rejection of Trident and consider what that means for Brit participation in NATO, if he remains party leader and Labor wins the next election.
That last is unlikely, but still.
