It's official.
The one article I refer to is far from unique and neither is that particular conservative journal.
The secular, post-clericalist West is just too, too decadent.
"Decadence" is the harsher alternative to "permissiveness," social conservatism's term of moral condemnation for the considerably less sexually repressive laws and customs of today's society and culture, compared to the heyday of Christian denominational power in the America of the 1950's.
Or the 1650's.
As for the eclipse of the sovereign power of nation-states, that is largely the doing of supra- and multi-national institutions that are as much or more their progeny than those of the left, along with the free-trade and open-borders advocates of the Wall Street, neoliberal wing of the Republican Party.
The Thatcherite wing, one might say.
