Hollande called the attackers cowards and angrily denounced them as "an act of war."
French forces have been part of the effort to bomb ISIS into the stone age and reportedly at least one attacker and ISIS communiques since have said the attacks were in retaliation for that French role in the war on ISIS, and that more is coming.
Some are suggesting Hollande said that because he means to go to NATO for a formal commitment from the allies to go the whole way and use their own forces to get rid of ISIS.
Though I suppose none of them would object to the French crushing ISIS with a real, all-out, all-in war, Hill has already said this is a job for local powers like Turkey and the gulf states and both Bern and O'Malley seem even less bellicose.
On the other hand, LBJ promised America he would not send American boys to fight a war Asian boys should fight on their own.
So there's that.
