Interesting taste, pleasant aroma, and nice color, at 70 proof this tipple is milder than the molasses flavored Meyers Dark Rum (80 proof) and the more aggressive Mount Gay Black Barrel (90 proof).
Update.
By the time I was done with the bottles both the Captain Morgan and the Meyers seemed way too sweet and I have not tried either since.
The Mount Gay was good to the last drop, but is a bit pricey for me.
