McConnell not making it easy

Senate unanimously agrees to block Trump from making recess appointments over break

He won't be replacing Jeff Sessions with somebody willing to fire Mueller and shut down his investigation by use of a recess appointment, since technically there is no recess.

Thanks to Mitch McConnell, Bozo's bosom buddy in the senate.

On the other hand, frankly, this maneuver should have been struck down by the courts when Obama challenged it as a mere pretence of remaining in session when the legislature has in fact gone home and the president is entitled to exercise his power to make recess appointments.

Democrats who were outraged at the time are today rejoicing, much as they celebrate the filibuster when it's the other guy's ambitions that get skewered by it.
