Ellis about Manafort: He lived an otherwise blameless life, so this sentencing range is way too high

Shit, apart from their many crimes and the horrible crap they did, Stalin, Hitler, Mengele, Mao, and any criminal at all led an otherwise blameless life.

You could say it about Jeffrey Dahmer, or any violent criminal.

That judge is deep-steeped in the classist culture of impunity rampant among our elites.

And maybe racism.

Guidelines say 19 1/2 to 24 years.

Ellis gave him 47 months in prison.

This is absolutely dumbfounding.

And makes an utter joke of the idea of deterrence.

The judge did say he thought the prosecution was just trying to squeeze Manafort in order to get to Trump.

Like he didn't actually deserve to be prosecuted.

Did somebody get to the judge, or was he just an idiot Trumpist?

Jeez, why bother to investigate or indict, when the corrupt DC swamp so protects swamp things?
