The title says it all.
This is maybe a little too much like an official Democratic three minutes hate, very well done.
Menacing music, a narrator who points out the sins of "win by any means necessary" Nixon but says not a word about the Democrats behind the lies that provoked Nixon's Checkers speech, all that sort of thing.
Interestingly, while Hiss's perjury conviction is reported as a win for Nixon, there is no mention of Whittaker Chambers, Elizabeth Bentley, and the actual evidence proving beyond doubt that Alger Hiss was guilty not only of perjury but also of espionage for the Soviet Union.
Hiss's patron had been Dean Acheson, the man whose blunder in publicly drawing the line of "containment" caused the Korean War.
All the same, the thing uses nothing but actual footage from back in the day with news commentary from then.
A great history lesson for those who did not live through it.
