Not that violence, suicides, and killings dropped.
No mention of those numbers at all, in fact.
But those would be the relevant numbers.
Why cheer a drop in gun violence, suicides, and killings if there were no drops in violence, suicides, and killings?
If that is the truth, why cheer a policy that did no good at all but annoyed the hell out of gun owners and gun rights folks?
Not to say it is the truth.
I have no idea, and would suspect there must have been some drop in violence.
Maybe the worry is that it won't look like enough.
Hence no mention.
