Idris Elba ‘too street’ to play James Bond? Get with the times.

Sure, any character can be re-written for film.

But one may well ask, and note, why.

M became a woman (played very ably by Judy Dench) simply to push aside a man, making room for a "strong woman" to please the sisterhood's misandy and will to power.

The effort to force acceptance of Idris Elba - a very fine actor, by the way, in my opinion well suited to play the sort of über alpha male Ian Fleming wrote James Bond to be - as the next Bond is a similar move.

Is this what the left means by "cultural appropriation"?
