Social justice academies? Charter schools?

Training tomorrow’s Red Guards of America.

You can get an MA in social justice and human rights.

Duquesne, a Catholic university, has a center for teaching of social justice.

Schools of education now teach teachers how to teach social justice in public or private high schools.

This is a culture war the conservatives have already lost, quite different from the one they're always yammering about.

And at least as important, if not more so.

Mencken thought public authorities had a perfect right to forbid Darwinism in public schools, if so they wished.

He was totally unimpressed with free speech arguments and "academic freedom" he insisted pertained at most to universities.

As for the liberal professoriate, they're about as interested in academic freedom as Chairman Mao.

Well, you knew what all that black and women's and queer studies stuff was going to lead to, right?
