The political isolation of seniors

The conservatives don’t want anyone to have medical coverage in any degree supported by taxes or administered by government.

The liberals want everyone to have that, and to need no more than that.

In this battle the chief concern of seniors is, of course, help for themselves with medical coverage through Medicare, Medicaid, or anything else.

Neither party shares their priorities, of course.

But on the whole they are less threatened by the Democrats than the Republicans, as they increasingly seem to understand.

Well, anyway, I hope they do.

I am on the threshold of Medicare, myself.
