In for a penny? Sure.

The wife would certainly not have died for Cuddles, her terrier of years ago.

Or given a leg, an arm, or even a little finger.

Well, maybe the tip of a little finger.

But, anyway, she was obviously willing to feed it.

In for a penny?

Sure.

In for a pound?

Not on your life.

The destruction of Israel, besides being a generic humanitarian horror as such not necessarily of much foreign policy concern for the United States, would be a victory for the forces of darkness, signally represented in our time by Islam, against the cultural and political preeminence of the Occident, of which Israel is in fact the last colonial settler state along the coast of the Mediterranean.

Surely worth a penny to prevent, though certainly not a nuclear guarantee.

Though the stupid and offensive public behavior of this PM makes things awkward.

US and Israel leaders set for meeting

Update.

Bibi was not only civil but full of gratitude and praise, while O was courteous and open.

A formal ten year defense commitment is coming up and we'll have to wait to see whether this goes to the senate for ratification or is handled unconstitutionally, as the congress allowed the Iran deal to be handled, perhaps even as a congress-excluding "executive agreement."

O supports Bibi's and the Israelis' handling of the recent wave of knife attacks.

Bibi and O continue to express hope for and commitment to a two-state solution.

I would not expect Bibi or the Jews of either Israel or America to accept a one-state solution that submerged the Jews in an Arab state or drove them out, quickly or slowly, as the eurowhite settlers have been submerged in or drive out from every colony or settler state in Africa.
