Pure altruism

If not a serious blunder, that's what American intervention in Venezuela would be.


There is little danger this example of Bolivarian madness will prove contagious, and it poses no threat to us, though it is every bit as committed to hatred of the capitalist Occident as is ISIS.

Still, the Bolivarians have enough support for intervention to face an uncertain welcome.

It might just result in more mess.

Not likely anywhere near as bad as Iraq or Afghanistan, but still.
